Odds and Ends

April 28th & 29th, 2009
Hooked up the water tank, wired the pump & We've got water!!

















The second pocket door was installed.















Almost finished up with the rough-in plumbing.





























Insulation is going great! We are almost ready to staple up the vapor barrier.










My brother came to help & I managed to get him on the ladder, on top of the scaffolding. =)














He helped put the plastic up in the vaulted area. Which is no easy task!!

Plumbing & Insulation

April 11th-April 19th, 2009
We passed the Electrical Inspection 2 weeks ago.

This allowed us to move on to the low voltage wiring.














Speakers, Video, Motion Sensors etc.















Cut foam insulation to put behind the ceiling speakers.











On Saturday, we got a great start on the plumbing.















Elbows, Tees, Wye's, Sweeps....I think we have every possible PVC plumbing piece ever made.










Insulated the wall going down the steps...

















laundry room & walk-in closet....
















and with the speaker boxes fully enclosed, we were almost able to finish up insulating the vaulted area. Just one pesty piece that I couldn't reach is left.



The entire garage has been insulated and all the vapor barrier has been stapled up.

Ready for the Electrical Inspection

April 4th & 5th

Put up the walls for the walk-in shower.
Built another wall in the utility room in the basement.

Ran wire to outlets in the island, smoke alarms & newly added receptacles in the shower walls.











Put a "ceiling" on the 2 free standing rooms in the vaulted area. The bathroom and the mudroom closet now have a ceiling.

Saturday afternoon, we had 2 guest fly in for a visit.

Moved some insulation so that all of our wires are visible for the inspector.
