A Few Final Touches

Installed black top-down,bottom-up blinds in the Master Bedroom

Added black crown moulding to the kitchen cabinets

along with satin nickel drawer pulls.

We put up closet organizers and shelving in the walk-in closet.

Moved in a bed, some clothes and other necessary items so we can live in the house while we finish up with the detail work.

We are also working on bathroom cabinets and drawer pulls and hope to have an "Official" move-in date in the next few weeks.

Appliances were delivered and set in place on Monday Aug, 3rd.

More Trim, More Doors, Last of the Subfloor!

Aug 1st & 2nd, 2009

Master bedroom doors for the bathroom and hallway.

Installed both skirtboards along the stairway.

Wired and hung lights in the walk-in closet, guest room closet & laundry room including the Front Entry light.

The last of the subfloor! Carpet is being installed tomorrow.

Tile and Countertops Completed

July 27th, 28th & 29th, 2009

By Tuesday afternoon, all the tile had been completed.

The tub and shower tile look wonderful!

We installed the Masterbath Cabinets on Tuesday and the countertops were installed on Wednesday.

Kitchen Cabinets were completed and also ready for the countertop.

It's unbelievable how this room can look so different in just a few days!

After all the hours we spent staining and finishing the baseboard and door trim, we were finally able to see some of it installed.

Wow, They are absolutely beautiful! 3 of the doors were installed on Wednesday.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the sanding, conditioning, staining, more sanding, poly, more poly etc.

Tile, Doors & Cabinets

July 25th & 26th, 2009

On Friday, the shower and tub walls were tiled.

On Saturday, I measured, taped and painted the tan stripe in the little bathroom. Besides needing a few touch-ups, it turned out pretty good.

STILL polyurethaning doors and other misc. wood pieces.

...just when we think we are done with the staining and polyurethane....The 20 ft. skirtboards and handrail for the stairs are delivered.

Worked on kitchen cabinets all weekend. Countertops are being delivered and installed in just a few days.

Hardwood Floor & Black Oak Trim

July 26th, 2009

Finished the hardwood flooring.

Stained more wood black and trimmed out the stairway along the edge of the travertine. Now, I can't wait to have the carpet installed and see it all together.
