One Fixture at a time...

July 11th & 12th, 2009
One fixture at a time..as the time allows.
Master Bedroom light was installed.

Tub Faucet was set.

Determined exact location of the tub, set it, shimmed it and ran plumbing for the drain and faucet.

All of the Pine Door Casing was stained with one coat each of Dark Walnut and one coat Ebony.

I started applying the first coat of polyurethane to a few door casings. I'm hesitant to start this process because it's important to have a smooth finish. Must try to avoid having air bubbles, brush marks, drip lines etc.

As if the 11 pine doors and roughly 50 pieces of pine door casing wasn't enough fun to stain and poly, we decided to do the baseboard trim in black pine also.

But my mom did over 1/2 of them in one day. At that pace, it won't take long to finish.
....I wonder if she will volunteer to do the polyurethane finishing also?!?! =)
