We have a deck!!

July 17th-19th, 2009


On Saturday, the Front Entry deck was started

...and Josh was determined to finish it before the day was over!

So at 12:43 a.m they finished!


We may have all been tired but it looks really nice.

We began hanging kitchen cabinets. Of course the first one is the biggest, heaviest and the most awkward shaped so it took longer than we expected.













Installed the black pine flooring in the sitting room. Everything was going great until the nailer we rented for the weekend quit working.



All the door trim and baseboard trim has been polyurethaned.











The stair kicks needed to be put on before the carpet install.
The steps look so much nicer and hopefully less dirt will go down into the basement.

Step lights were wired and cover plates went on.
Plumbing was turned on, tested the pipes for leaks. After a few minor repairs, it was time to fill the whirlpool tub. No, not for a bath...brrrr, still no hot water hooked up. But rather per manufacturer instruction it needed to be filled. :)
